I was in my first fashion show last weekend, at Shine Nightclub in Gastown. It showcased Kwantlen Student designers Jamie Carlson (myself), Meagan Squre, Vickie Tse, Alisha Leong and Olivia Tang, and half the proceeds went towards Chile relief. My line featured 3 summer outfits, inspired by romantic nostalgia. Meagan's pieces were edgy and urban, Vickie's were funky and casual, and Alisha & Olivia's were upscale beachy. By no means was it a 'big thing', but it was great to work with models, hairstylists and make-up artists for the first time... it was a fantastic way to spend a Saturday.
